A minute of watching beats a paragraph of explaining.

What is this?

Type a word and it tells you how close that word is in meaning to today's answer.

One word a day

Everyone plays the same word. A new one opens at 8 PM Korea time, and until then the whole world is holding the same puzzle.

No right or wrong

You are never told correct or incorrect — only how close you got. 1000+ away, then 137, then 12, then 3. The narrowing is the whole game.

Today's ranking

See who is closing in right now. Everyone who solves it is tied for 1st, no matter how many guesses it took.

Questions

This is all there is to it.

When does the word change?
Every day at 8 PM Korea time (KST).
How many tries do I get?
Five free. Spend them and one comes back every 15 minutes.
Do I need to know Korean?
You need a Korean keyboard — the answer and your guesses are Korean words. Plenty of people play it as practice: every guess makes you weigh what two words actually mean.
Are there hints?
None. Not the letter count, not the first letter. Every word you type tells you only how close it is in meaning.
How is the ranking decided?
By your closest word. Everyone who solves it is tied for 1st, so an evening player can still take the top spot.
Is there a daily reward?
Five days in a row earns you blueberries.
